Meet our recreationally ambitious regular
Our recurring former junior is entirely fictional: now around 40, still playing, and still occasionally negotiating with the career he imagined. His stories explore missed opportunities, adult commitments and the comedy of remaining competitive.
He is a storytelling character, distinct from the real publisher. His adventures give us a way to explore familiar tennis frustrations with affection and a little perspective.

Our practical articles help readers think through training offers and ask clearer questions. We distinguish original fiction, editorial analysis, merchant information and genuine first-hand experience. When we have not used a product, we say so.
